White Embossed Tree Line Cards

Both cards were made using the Impression Obsession Cover a Card Tree Line stamp.  After stamping with Versamark ink, I heat embossed with some white embossing powder then blended on some purple and blue distress inks.

The frame around the second card is the Sue Wilson Noble Ornate Squares die which is layered on some lilac glitter paper I had.  The Merry Christmas is by Penny Black.

I'm entering the second card in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge:  Shimmer and Shine (embossing powder and glitter paper)

Fall Beauty

I recently ordered a box with some glass bottles in it and the bottles were wrapped with this cool brown paper netting:

I thought it would look neat on a nautical card, but then I thought of using it on a Fall card instead; thus today's card.

I used the following products:

Frantic Stamper Stitched Pumpkins
Frantic Stamper Spring Ivy
Cheery Lynn Sunflower
Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Rectangles
Penny Black Sentiment Collection
packing paper

I'm entering this in the Word Art Wednesday Challenge

Spooky Halloween

I really like the combination of the spiderweb with the jack-o-lantern eyes on Halloween cards, and I needed to make a card with some stars on it for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge:  It's Written in the Stars, so I combined the two.

I used the following products:

Sue Wilson Starry Night Sky
Frantic Stamper Jack-o-Lantern Faces
Frantic Stamper Spiderweb Edger
IO Stamps Mini Bats and Mini Ghosts
IO Stamps Happy Halloween die 326

Pink and Yellow Flowers

This card was made using leftovers from other cards, thus the mix of different colored flowers.

I used the Pretty Petals Flower and Fluttering Butterfly by Diemond Dies.  To form the petals, I pinched the ends between a pair of tweezers and pushed the petal up and around the sides of the tweezer.

Products Used:  Diemond Dies Pretty Petals Flower and Fluttering Butterfly, Elizabeth Craft Designs Curvy Leaves, Kaisercraft Tiny Roses EF, Antique Linen Distress Ink

You Brighten My Day

An easy card that could be used for multiple occasions; I chose to use a greeting "you brighten my day" which is from Ellen Hutson called Warm Fuzzies stamp set.

The butterflies are from Diemond Dies and both come in the same set.  The stitched flags are by Sue Wilson.

I'm entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Wed. Challenge:  Clean and Simple

Sweet 16

I can't believe my niece who was just entering Pre-K when I moved away is now turning 16.  She has three older brothers and no sisters but is all about dressing girly and having her nails done.  I knew a card with pink and sparkly gold would be just right for her.

Products used:  Cheery Lynn Chevron background, MFT Stamps Lucky Prints star paper, Sizzix BIGZ letters and numbers die for Stampin Up, Cheery Lynn Small Exotic Butterflies, flowers from Joann Fabric, Spellbinders Large Ovals

Falling Leaves

Another Fall card using the Inkadinkadoo Autumn Foliage stamp set.

I heat embossed the leaves with gold embossing powder then painted them in with a variety of distress inks, cutting one out for the center of the card.

Copper Embossed Leaves

I've had this delicate fall leaf stamp from Joann Fabric for years but never used it.  It was one of those $1.00 stamps in the bins that you look through while waiting in the checkout line at the store.  The word stamp, however, is from a set by Inkadinkadoo called Autumn Foliage.

I heat embossed the leaves with copper embossing powder then dabbed on some distress inks for the centers.  The washed background is my first attempt at such using Tumbled Glass distress ink and lots of water with a brush.

MFT Quilt Square Cover Up

This is a card that was made in minutes due to the fact that I used leftover pieces from when I used the die on other cards.  I didn't have to run the Quilt Square Cover Up through my die cut machine at all for this card.  The heart in the middle is very old; it's from a card making class I taught about 7 years ago or more.

I used the following products:

MFT Die-Namics Quilt Square Cover Up
Hero Arts Holiday Sayings
Sue Wilson Stitched Flags
Doodlebug Gingham paper
Hero Arts card base

You Are My Sunshine

The current sketch challenge at MFT Stamps is this:

Sketch Challenge 349 #mftstamps

Since I don't currently own a lot of MFT dies or stamps, I was fairly limited as to what I could do with this sketch.

Products Used:  MFT Stamps Die-Namics Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frame, MFT Stamps Die-Namics Flower Trio, MFT Stamps Tiny Check and Lucky Prints 6x6 paper pads, Sweet & Sassy Stamps "Your Friendship"
